Courses and Quizzes

As a member of the GOLD Center's SharedStudy community, you can create four types of
online course: self-study, instructor-led, class-based, and team-oriented.
Courses consist of lessons, and lessons include activities (such as
discussions, individual and team assignments, manual and automated quizzes)
and resources (such as documents, links, and graphics). As much as possible,
student grades and class schedules are automated, although you can override
the details. You can schedule classes and quizzes that are private or
publish them for the entire community to see. The GOLD Center has found just
the right balance between consistency and flexibility.
User-Friendly Roles

After creating an account at SharedStudy.com, you’re invited to add
course designers, administrators, and instructors to your account. Designers
can create original material, share material with others in the community,
and improve or import material created by others. Administrators can
schedule private classes intended for specific users only (e.g., company
employees) or publish class details (including price) to the GOLD Center
site. To ensure consistency, there’s a Help option at every screen and the
system warns you immediately if anything is wrong.
Transparent Pricing

Before running an online class, you must purchase a usage voucher. If you’re
an occasional user, you can purchase a low-value voucher. If you become a
heavy user, you can earn a substantial discount by purchasing a high-value
voucher. You are charged a daily usage fee against the value of this voucher
whenever you run an online class. There are no hidden fees. Our pricing is
totally transparent.
